PedFACTS-Vietnam Instructor Development Course

  • Enroll your staff and volunteers to attend the PedFACTS-Vietnam Instructor Development Course; and/or
  • Enroll your caregivers and teachers to attend the PedFACTS-Vietnam First Aid Training.

PedFACTS-Vietnam Instructor Development Course is an adaptation to Vietnamese of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers (PedFACTS) program, aiming to provide the necessary skills for instructors to teach pediatric first aid.
PedFACTS-Vietnam First Aid Training provides caregivers and teachers the education and confidence that they need to effectively care for children. The initial PedFACTS-Vietnam training team consists of medical professionals and childhood education specialists with experience in providing health and safety training courses in the US and other countries: Dr Susan Fuchs, pediatric emergency specialist from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Anh Kim Tran of Pacific Links Foundation (PALS), and Dr Quynh Kieu of Project Vietnam Foundation (PVNF) all certified PedFACTS instructors.

Enroll your staff and/or volunteers to attend the first PedFACTS-Vietnam Instructor DevelopmentCourse — a full 2-day training in November in Vietnam — and /or enroll caregivers and teachers to attendthe 1-day PedFACTS-Vietnam First Aid Training. Participants will receive the Instructor or Provider certificates once they have successfully completed the course.

Nov 4-5 in HCMC at Pediatric Hospital 2 (Bệnh Viện Nhi Đồng 2)

Nov 8-9 in Huế at VA NGO Resource Center, Khu Nam Vỹ Dạ Huế

Nov 10-11 at Bee Daycare, Hà Nội

Instructor Training $200 $300
Caregivers/Providers $50 $80

Registration costs covered course supplies, training materials, book and certification from AAP & the VA NGO Network.

Training to Instructors is offered to persons who must meet the following criteria:

  • Healthcare personnel or Individual with certification in CPR
  • Be willing to teach and participate in 4 Provider 1-day course annually (the Instructor certificate is good for 2 years, and evidence of teaching activities is required)

Training to Provider is offered to all caregivers including teachers, social workers, volunteers working directly with children, orphanage caregivers, etc.
